O listen my children
and you shall here
of "Le Morte de Arthur"
from history's revered
Sir Gawain and some angels
descended below
To warn our King Arthur
of the strength of his foe
The battle commenced
and when it was over
only Mordred remained
of the enemy's order
"Let us wait for Sir Lancelot,
for Mordred can't move"
Offered Lucan, still breathing
with nothing to loose
"Nonsense!" yelled Arthur
"This man I SHALL TAKE!"
And with that, O poor soul
Was his hubris awake
For a spear he did grasp
as he charged after Mordred
Who pursued, They did clash
and they both met "Le Morte"
