Round, The World Turns
Round, the world turns
As do we, all who are on it
The bard keeps track of changing times
As someone writes a sonnet
The clarion of voices
and the choices we all face
Do occupy our time enough
And crowd into our space
But, there, in the blue yonder
Lies our forefathers solace
For nature, Mother Earth herself
Is sanity's compass
In solitude we see ourselves
No order are we placed
We view how others get along
And ponder God's embrace
We find ourselves in amazement
we view a tree so tall
How concrete its potential
How does mine measure at all?
O'er there, within the bushes
a bird searches for some rope
Does he know what he will find
Does he pray, does he hope?
We compare all within nature
and apply it to our lives
A different atmosphere we view
And find we can survive
Round, the world turns
As do we, all who are on it
The bard keeps track of changing times
As someone writes a sonnet
The sonnet, we will read
Reminisce of what we saw
For someone, one more someone
Has observed, and found great awe
